Feb 29, 2008, the day that only comes along every four years...so shouldn't this day be spent happy?

Personally, I think this is very special day. So this post will be a long one =) Will update again if I miss out anything.

Went back to camp last Sunday night, the time I finished packing for the field camp the following day was close to 11, woke up the next morning at 4am!! Fast forward... Reached the camp site, set up the CP, (control point) that's what my pla toon, HQ pla toon does. Had a good start to this camp, didn't have to carry my 84 ammo pack all the way, it was on the store truck, actually didn’t even carry it at all the whole camp. The tent we got from our store was totally crap, I accidentally tore a hole big enough to squeeze myself through, and that thing was supposed to be waterproof, guess they should make those holeproof too :P and YES!! It was slack time from then onwards, but too bad had to slack under the sun, so after eating some rations which were as bad as ever and grilling myself in the sun, I snuck up inside the tank to try to get some sleep. Fast forward again (cause this was a really boring camp for me and I did almost nothing compared to the other pla toons, WHICH IS HELLUVA GOOD THING :D) but...I WAS CHEATED!!! We were told it was going to be only a 2days 1night camp for us troo pers, but it turned out my pla toon had to stay an extra day!!! 3days 2nights!! Though it was just another day of doing nothing, I'd have preferred spending that day back in camp, doing nothing ;D

Overall, this camp was good, few mosquito bites, slacking time was aplenty, thought first night it rained, and it was really cold, hahaha, had to evacuated from the tent as it was like raining inside due to the holes :P Went for rides on the tanks on the extra day and night, which was kinda fun and cool at first, but after getting my face whacked by branches and leaves, and getting my face full of sand, dust and smelly exhaust fumes, I figured it was better to just sit inside. Saw some kids at the campsite opposite, which was a fun adventure camp....wished ours was all fun and games. Anyway, went past them in our tanks, I started waving and smiling at them, hahahaha, bet they all will think that army is fun, wait till they serve N S :P Then they'll get their rude awakening.

Got back on Wednesday, went out field again on Thursday morning, this time as store party, means err, fill water, serve food all that nonsense job la, It was really boring, and hot, couldn't sleep on the truck, felt like I was in an oven, and it only rained a little at night when it was cool already -_- blew up some bombs, which was very loud, and you could feel the shockwave, heh I was I think the only one who didn't jump when that thing went off lo, some people jumped, screamed or something. Then!! We got a call, a certain fugitive is on the run, had to cancel our firing as we're carrying live ammo and weapons, bad if that !@#&$%# got his hands on them, so it was an early night for me, cause I'm storeman ;P reached camp, finally, and happy (whenever I'm in camp, I'd wish I'm home, but everytime I'm out field, I'd wish I'm back in camp) Thought I should lie down for awhile.........opened my eyes, and it was 5am the next morning!! hahaha, faster went to bath. I was the last person in my entire battalion to bath after the camp, and it was pretty ridiculous running around in my dirty (I wore the same set of uniform since Monday.. Hey!! Its the army right, not some adventure camp :P) cloths with camo on my face when everyone's like clean and neat. Fast forward again, and I booked out!!! Lucky I wasn't activated for the terrorist threat =)

Went for Aik ido, things didn't go very well, first, I couldn't follow and feel what my Sen sei was doing, and a whole move ended pretty horribly. Then!! The worst...I knew I was gonna be called up to do free, gi yu wa za, and I wasn't prepared, but how bad can it get right? WRONG!! It was terrible, I kept doing ten shi na ge, and I forgotten all my ai han mi techniques..haizz..its really bad lo, to put up such a bad performance in front of the kids, and to let my Sen seis down. They didn't show it but I could feel it, I'm really sorry about that, I know I'm in ar my and I train very little now, but to drop to that standard is simply unacceptable. And it had to happen on this very special day, Thought I'd be able to come home pamper myself with ice cream or something, but now all that I can do is reflect on myself, I have to double my efforts and standard!! And I will!! I won't let my instructors down...

Been thinking alot lately too, would've been nice to spend this day with that special someone..hope she's not piling up the pressure because of school. In light of all that's happening now, aren't you guys afraid?? I mean a bomb could just go off anytime, anywhere. And there are things that I don't wanna leave undone, unsaid and unfelt. But I don't have the courage, i'm shy, blur stupid dumb (Whatever word you can write in this space) __________________________________________________ to do what I need to do, say what I have to say and feel what I want to feel. But I don't wanna lose any chance of fulfilling all that..

So people, learn, its not good to keep on waiting. But for me...
